Katrell Nash

Katrell Nash is a native of Biloxi, Mississippi. She is the daughter of Sterling and Uri Nash. She is the older sibling of Sterling Nash, Jr. Growing up, her father was active-duty military. Her father’s military career resulted in many moves across the country. These moves instilled in Nash the ability to speak up for herself, quickly adapt to new surroundings, moreover, be unafraid of the unknown. At a young age, Nash discovered a zeal for “spirited” debate leading her to pursue a career in law. After high school, Nash decided to return to her roots in Mississippi. She is a graduate of the University of Southern Mississippi in Hattiesburg and Mississippi College School of Law in Jackson. She is licensed to practice law in the State of Mississippi and State of Georgia, making her the first and only attorney in her family.

In 2009, Nash accepted a position as an Assistant Public Defender (“APD”) for the Augusta Judicial Circuit Office of the Public Defender. As an APD, she represented indigent clients in State, Superior, and Magistrate Courts in Burke, Columbia, and Richmond Counties on a myriad of criminal offenses ranging from county ordinance violations to felony offenses. Overtime, Nash earned the respect of her superiors, leading to promotions to team leader of a felony trial team and later co-supervisor of the state court division where she mentored new APDs.

While Nash was fond of serving as an Assistant Public Defender, she aspired to have her own law practice, leading her to open Nash Law Office, LLC. At Nash Law Office, LLC, she specializes in the areas of criminal law, family law, and juvenile law. She continues to serve as a court-appointed attorney for indigent individuals in the State, Civil and Magistrate Courts of Richmond County.

Nash has extensive misdemeanor and felony courtroom experience having achieved countless case dismissals, charge reductions, acquittals at trials, stellar settlements, and favorable outcomes for the clientele she serves. She has been recognized by the National Trial Lawyers as Top 40 under 40, a Rising Star by Georgia Super Lawyers, a Lawyer of Distinction in Criminal Defense, and most recently named to the list of Georgia Super Lawyers. In her leisure time, Nash enjoys spending time with her loved ones, traveling, and volunteering with various groups to help others. She is the proud dog mom of her Bishon Poodle, Thurgood and Soft Wheaten Coated Terrier, Langston.
